Art Jakarta, the premier Indonesian art fair, is set to return for its 2026 edition from 2–4 October at JIExpo Kemayoran, Jakarta. Following two earlier fairs held in the same year, Art Jakarta Papers and Art Jakarta Gardens, the flagship fair remains true to its focus on highlighting contemporary art from the Southeast Asian region. This year, the fair will welcome 75 galleries, with more than half being Indonesian galleries and 33 international galleries, including 19 galleries participating in the fair for the first time. This reflects the continued growth and excitement surrounding each edition of Art Jakarta. Art Nation – the media partner for Art Jakarta 2026 – will help amplify the event’s voice, bridging the fair and the Vietnamese audience.
“Art Jakarta has now developed into one of the most dynamic art fairs in Southeast Asia. To support the continuously evolving visual arts ecosystem, beginning this year, Art Jakarta will take place three times annually: Art Jakarta Papers, Art Jakarta Gardens, and Art Jakarta International Art Fair. Each has its own distinct focus and emphasis.

At the same time, Art Jakarta must continue to serve as an intersection where visual arts stakeholders in the region can meet, exchange information and knowledge, build networks, and collaborate. This is Art Jakarta’s primary role, with the international art fair taking place in early October at JIExpo Kemayoran.
Our hope is that, by continuing to fulfil this role and function effectively, the art market ecosystem in Indonesia and across the region will likewise remain dynamic and continue to grow.” as Enin Supriyanto, Artistic Director for Art Jakarta remarks.

This year, the Fair will again receive support from its Lead Partners: Julius Baer, Bibit and Stockbit, Treasury, and BCA, all of them are returning partners, each contributing to the fair’s excitement and vibrancy through a series of Special Presentations.
The 2026 edition will feature the fair’s acclaimed sections once again, including SPOT, SCENE and AJX; as well as the debut of a new section – titled SCOPE.
